Pierre Frey
The house we reach for when a piece needs to say something. Pierre Frey has been printing and weaving in France since 1935, and four generations on it is still family-run, which is why the colour still feels brave rather than committee-approved. Their archive runs thousands deep, from painterly florals to graphic weaves, and every one treats fabric as art rather than backdrop. Put a Pierre Frey on one of our pieces and the whole room suddenly has a point of view.

The most quietly English house we work with. Mulberry Home carries the same craft that made the name famous into fabric: deep, woody colour, classic tickings, and weaves with a little countryside in them. Nothing here shouts. It is the fabric that makes a brand-new piece look as though it has always been in the family, which is exactly the feeling we are after.

Colefax & Fowler
English country style, quite literally defined. Colefax & Fowler grew from the work of Sibyl Colefax and the legendary decorator John Fowler - the people who shaped the look the rest of the world now calls English Country. Its faded chintzes, sprigged florals and quiet stripes have a gentleness that is almost impossible to imitate, the kind of fabric that makes a room feel as though it has been loved for decades.
